The short version: your social media archive files are processed locally in your browser and are never stored on our servers. We take your privacy seriously.

When you use Scrubly:

• Your social media archive zip file is opened and read directly in your browser — it never leaves your device
• The text content of your posts is sent to our AI analysis service (Anthropic Claude) for risk assessment — no images, no personal information, only post text
• We do not store, log, or retain any of your post content after analysis
• If you purchase the full report, Stripe collects your payment information — we never see or store your card details
• We may collect basic analytics (page views, general usage) but no personally identifiable information

How we use your data

• To analyze your posts and generate a risk report
• To process your payment if you purchase the full report
• To improve our service

Data sharing

We share your post text with Anthropic (our AI provider) for analysis purposes only. Anthropic does not store your data after processing. We do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.

Data retention

We do not retain your social media post content. Your archive file stays on your device. Post text sent for analysis is not stored after the response is returned.

Your rights

• You have the right to know what data we hold about you
• You have the right to request deletion of any data we hold
• You have the right to opt out of any communications from us

Scrubly is an AI-powered tool that analyzes your social media archive files and identifies posts that may be considered risky in professional or personal contexts. Results are for informational purposes only.

What Scrubly does not do

• Scrubly does not guarantee that flagged posts will actually harm you
• Scrubly does not guarantee that all risky posts will be identified
• Scrubly does not provide legal advice
• Scrubly does not delete posts on your behalf — you must do this yourself

Your responsibilities

• You must only upload archives that belong to you
• You must not use Scrubly to analyze another person's data without their consent
• You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
• You are responsible for any decisions you make based on Scrubly's analysis

Payments and refunds

The full report costs $9.99 as a one-time payment. Due to the digital nature of the service, we do not offer refunds once the full report has been accessed. If you have a genuine issue please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Limitation of liability

Scrubly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or decisions made based on our analysis. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of Scrubly after changes means you accept the new terms.
